 Brother Rustand has had a variety of educational, public, corporate, and church service experience. He was the University of Arizona's first Academic All-American basketball player and was later drafted into the NBA by the San Francisco Warriors. He was selected to be a White House Fellow and subsequently served as Appointments Secretary and Cabinet Secretary to President Ford. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for over 40 public, private, and not-for-profit organizations. His church assignments have included serving as a member of a Stake Presidency and on a High Council. Brother Rustand and his wife Carson are the parents of 6 children

 Enjoy a tropical paradise with friends new and old. Folks from around the valley will entertain us with Salsa and Polynesian dance. Then, the party continues with the variety dance and a game cabana.

 Brother Sedar has filmed and co-produced nine documentaries in Saudi  Arabia, six of which are on Lehi and his family's eight year journey through the Arabian Peninsula to Bountiful.  Brother Sedor lived and worked in Arabia for some 20 years and he, in conjunction with Nephi Project co-founder George Potter, have traveled thousands of miles searching for the Lehi-Nephi trail.  As we already know through the exercise of our faith, the Book of Mormon is the word of God.  You will see through the presentation that is also includes a very accurate record of a journey through Arabia in 597 B.C.

Church Services - Elliot Groves Single Adult Ward

Time: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Place: Tempe AZ West Stake Center (Elliot Groves/Grove Parkway Building)

The Elliott Groves Single Adult Ward invites all out-of-town visitors to attend the ward. Sacrament meeting is held first followed by Relief Society/Priesthood and  then Sunday School.

Brother Holzapfel is Publications Director of the Religious Studies Center, Professor of Church History and Doctrine at BYU and currently an Alcuin Fellow with General Education and Honors.  He received his PhD at the University of California, Irvine in History.  Brother Holzapfel has taught at BYU since 1993, teaching in the Church History, Ancient Scripture, History and Honors Departments.  He taught at the BYU Jerusalem Center from 1997 through 1998.  He served in the Italy, Milan Mission and has had a variety of Church assignments, including Elders Quorum  President, Bishop and  member of the Gospel Doctrine Writing Committee for the Church.  He is the author of more than 100 articles and 30 books.  He and his wife Jeni are the parents of five children.
